Affiliate marketing is done when some other web site or the affiliate web site decides to market a particular brand or product or service of a different website through their website. There is an agreement between the two and once a mutual contract is in place the affiliate starts marketing the primary site. This is termed as affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is more or less just like any other business, and like any other business even this form of marketing has certain terms and conditions that both parties must adhere to. The main goal in this type of marketing is to generate large number of browsers to visit the primary site through the affiliate by using promotions or advertising. This can be achieved through many methods but you cannot use any negative remarks about the site, product, service or authors to generate more number of hits.
An affiliate web site must always use re-direct links rather than using raw links. By using Re-direct links you increase the level of conversions. You cannot use any type of spam to promote the number of hits to the primary website. These are certain terms and conditions you have to be willing to adhere to, if you want your site to be an affiliate marketing site. The best bargain would be to play safe and be wise but most importantly be honest in what you do and success follows you.
